The Fairfax Christian School is a Christian school covering Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in Vienna, Virginia. ==History== It was founded in 1961 by Presbyterian clergyman Robert L. Thoburn.〔http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/robert-l-thoburn-founder-of-fairfax-christian-school-and-former-va-delegate/2013/01/24/e0e05316-6360-11e2-b84d-21c7b65985ee_story.html〕 It started out as Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. In each of the next four years, another grade was added. In 1968, the first class of high school students graduated, and the school population peaked at 650.〔 In 1981, the school was featured in an article in ''People Magazine ''that discussed how its teaching was based on, in the words of Thoburn, "...standards that come out of a biblical world."〔http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20079582,00.html〕 This accounted for its attractions to children coming from families living in the Washington, D.C. area who were also members of the New Right, In 1983, the school moved from its original location on Pope's Head Road to its current location on Hunter Mill Road. The school mascot was changed from the Colonials to the Cardinals in 2014.〔http://www.fairfaxchristianschool.com/about/photos/index.html〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Fairfax Christian School」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
